Description: Cypress is an evergreen that is native to Mediterranean Europe. The oil is produced from the fresh leaves and stems, and sometimes the cones. It is colorless or pale yellow.

Uses: The scent is said to calm the nerves, reducing grief and anxiety. Insomniacs might want to rub a few drops onto a pillow to improve sleep. It has antiseptic and astringent qualities and may be useful for respiratory conditions. Smelling the oil is also said to help ease coughs and bronchitis. Also considered to be helpful in soothing nervous tension. Used for varicose veins and hemorrhoids. Aids lymphatic drainage. Reduces oiliness of skin. Stimulates circulation.
